The University Sports Association (UNIVAS), with the cooperation of researchers at Nippon Sport Science University, investigated the system of the athletic club, ethics and compliance, and response to new coronavirus infections at UNIVAS member universities, and the results of the survey (excerpt) ) Was announced.The survey targets 202 universities (including corporations) that are members of UNIVAS, and the response rate is 98 universities (49%).

 According to the survey, 75 universities (76.5%) are in charge of supervising or supporting the athletic club by the departments that provide student support and welfare guidance, such as the Student Affairs Division.However, only 26 universities (26.5%) have a position of sports administrator promoted by the Japan Sports Agency or equivalent.

 Regarding off-campus instructors, 90 universities (91.8%) have on-site guidance from off-campus instructors. 29 universities (32.2%) have off-campus leaders in more than half of the sports clubs.The most influential factor in the process of selecting off-campus leaders is "OB / OG intention" at 28 universities (31.1%), followed by "predecessor's intention" at 27 universities (30.0%) and "member's intention". There are 24 universities (26.7%).

 Twenty-four universities (2016%) are aware of violations of ethics and compliance in the athletic club between 2019 and 24.Forty-three universities (24.5%) are stipulated in the regulations within the university organization, and 43 universities (43.9%) have set up consultation desks in departments that provide student support and welfare guidance, such as the Student Affairs Division of the university.  What the university expects most from the services and services provided by UNIVAS is the issuance of various guidelines for safe and secure university sports (64 universities, 65.3%).This was followed by the expansion of the value of university sports (52 universities, 53.1%) and the implementation of training and seminars for athletic club students (44 universities, 44.9%).
