Associate Professor Ryoichi Nakamura of Chiba University Frontier Medical Engineering Center and others have worked with Nippon Kobunshi Giken Co., Ltd. on an inexpensive and easily available endoscopic surgery training instrument, "Laparoscopic surgery training instrument / practice needle holder EYP2009- Jointly developed "CNK series".Its performance and usefulness are highly evaluated and have been well received.

　While continuous training is important in order to acquire the operation skills of instruments necessary for endoscopic surgery, it costs around 20 yen to use clinical surgical instruments (needle holders) exclusively for practice. Therefore, the current situation is that it is too expensive, and Associate Professor Nakamura and his colleagues have developed an inexpensive and easy-to-use training instrument that is easily available to young surgeons who need the most training.

　The operability is comparable to that for clinical use, the needle holding performance that keeps the object in place when grasped is not impaired, the processing / intermediate cost is reduced, and the packaging is simplified. The price can be kept down to, and more than 10 bottles have been sold nationwide in about two years after the launch.Currently, we are preparing for product development in Asia and Europe.
