The 17th Calligraphy Performance Koshien (National High School Calligraphy Performance Championship) will be held on Sunday, July 6, 7 in Shikokuchuo City, Japan's number one paper town.
This competition aims to contribute to the creation and development of a new culture by refining the essence of calligraphy as a traditional culture while exploring the appeal of new calligraphy, and to promote inter-regional exchange of art and culture through calligraphy. We will promote industry and revitalize the region.
In addition, by providing high school students who are dedicated to calligraphy performances with a venue to perform on a nationwide scale, we aim to increase their motivation for calligraphy and develop creative individuals. The purpose is to promote independent activities, mutual exchange, and friendship.
