The Japan Mathematical Olympiad (JMO) is a math contest held in Japan to select Japanese national team players to participate in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO).
The JMO contest has a qualifying round followed by a final round.Qualifying will be held in January (Coming-of-Age Day) at one or more test venues in each prefecture. Rank people and those below that are defined as C rank people. A-ranked and B-ranked people have special benefits such as the entrance examination system.
Subsequently, the final round was held in February (National Foundation Day) for A-ranked people, about 2 people were selected as JMO AA-ranked people, the winner was the Kawai Cup, and gold, silver, and bronze in order of grade. Medal will be awarded.This AA rank person will participate in the spring training camp in March as a candidate for the Japanese national team of IMO, and 20 Japanese national team players will be selected based on the results of the tests there.
