The Japan Student Science Award, which started in 1957, is Japan's premier science competition with a history and tradition for junior high school and high school students. At the 64th convention last year, about 3 research works from junior high schools and high schools nationwide participated.
At this competition as well, we are looking for works that have been done individually or jointly by students to clarify small questions and wonders around us, and to solve questions about the theories written in textbooks.Presentations of school research projects are also welcome. I have high expectations for research works that convey the "heart of science."
The fields are physics, chemistry, biology, earth science, wide area, information and technology, and applied mathematics has been newly added from this competition.
In the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, earth science, and wide-area fields, recruitment and screening will be conducted for each prefecture, and the works selected as representatives of each prefecture will proceed to the central screening.Applications for information and technology fields and applied mathematics will be accepted in the form of a central screening.
If a high school student wins a high ranking in the central final examination, he / she will be qualified to take the school-recommended selection and the comprehensive selection, and will have a chance to participate in ISEF2022.
