The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science has decided to set up a special provision for reservation of grant application for those who could not obtain a doctoral degree during 2022 in the "Young Research" of the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research in 2021.Since it can be assumed that the spread of the new coronavirus will hinder research activities, the special provisions implemented in the 2021 Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research will be continued.
According to the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science, for young researchers in the 2022 Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research, the recipients of the grant must obtain a doctoral degree by April 2022, 4 and be registered in the common research and development management system of the ministries and agencies. However, it is assumed that the new Corona will hinder research activities and delay the acquisition of a degree, and will not meet the eligibility requirements for grant application.
For this reason, grant application reservations for up to one year are permitted for those who are eligible for the grant who are late in obtaining their degree.The procedure will be notified by the notification of the delivery offer scheduled for April.If you cannot obtain a doctoral degree even after the maximum one-year reservation period, you will be declined the offer.
Grant recipients who have reserved the grant application must apply for the grant when they start the research after obtaining the degree, but they are allowed to start the research immediately after the degree income and apply for the grant in parallel.
