The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) has selected 67 schools, including Fukui Prefectural University, which aims to establish a dinosaur department, Mukogawa Women's University, which plans to establish an environmental symbiosis department, and Kyoai Gakuen Maebashi International University, which plans to establish a digital and green department. 67 schools can receive support of up to 20 billion yen.

 According to the education ministry, 13 public universities and 54 private universities were selected.In addition to large private universities such as Aoyama Gakuin University and Kansai University, nine women's universities were included, and universities without science departments accounted for about 9%.Of the 3 schools in total, 67 will establish or reorganize faculties and departments to take on the challenge of growing science, engineering and agriculture fields. Five schools will increase their capacity.

 Support will be provided for up to 3000 years using a fund of 10 billion yen.Universities aiming to open faculties and departments will proceed with preparations to establish them within the next three years.

 Separately, 37 national universities, including Chiba University, Nara Women's University, Nagoya City University, Kitasato University, and Anan National College of Technology, 4 public universities, 5 private universities, and 5 technical colleges, totaling 51 schools, were selected as subsidy frameworks for universities and technical colleges that are expanding their undergraduate and graduate school quotas in order to work on developing digital human resources.Of these, seven national universities, including Hokkaido University and Kobe University, have become "high-level frames" with subsidies of up to 7 billion yen.

 The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology aims to establish 2032 science, engineering and agriculture departments over the next 10 years by 300, and will continue to accept applications.
