On the 1st, Osaka University invited Shigeki Kiritani, formerly of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, as a management advisor. We hope that he will utilize his experience working on the front lines of securities companies and asset management companies to provide appropriate advice to strengthen Osaka University's financial foundation.
Mr. Kiritani graduated from Kyoto University Faculty of Law. He joined Daiwa Securities (currently Daiwa Securities Group Headquarters) in 1985 and studied abroad at the University of California, Berkeley Graduate School of Business, where he earned an MBA (Master of Business Administration). After joining Goldman Sachs Securities in 1998 and serving as managing director and head of merchant banking, he moved to Goldman Sachs Asset Management, the asset management company of the Goldman Sachs Group, and in 2011 He has served as president since 2022 and chairman since XNUMX.
Osaka University has set forth the ``OU Master Plan,'' a medium- to long-term management plan that connects all activities such as education, research, and management. In order to achieve these management goals, the company plans to strengthen its financial base by seeking advice from Mr. Kiritani, who has been active on the front lines of securities companies and asset management companies.
