The seminar by Professor Junichi Suzuki of the Faculty of Law, Dokkyo University, conducted simulation learning to respond to the pandemic of the new coronavirus, which was a virtual image of the World Health Assembly of WHO (World Health Organization), using an online conference system.

According to Dokkyo University, in the simulation, Suzuki seminar students dressed as experts dispatched from each country and exchanged opinions on the revision of the International Health Regulations, which is the framework for dealing with infectious diseases established by WHO.

Since it is not possible to grasp the behavior of others through meetings alone, we set up virtual embassies in each participating country to visualize who is negotiating with whom.Since it is difficult for participants to express their intentions with real intentions and delicate feelings only at online meetings, an anonymous voting system was adopted and an amendment to strengthen the International Health Regulations was adopted by a large number of supporters.

In online meetings, meeting documents and resolutions are shared on the cloud, and attendees and voting behavior are managed in real time on the network.

Professor Suzuki said, "In the real world, we could not prevent the pandemic of the new corona, but through this simulation, we learned that students can learn about the advantages of distance learning and international law while working hard. The result of the conference is a paper. I would like to summarize it and make it public. "
