Yokohama National University, MOL Co., Ltd., and MOL Systems Co., Ltd. * have signed a joint research agreement on "analysis and utilization of shipping big data."

 MOL Systems Co., Ltd. is responsible for the construction of systems and networks within the MOL Group, as well as the maintenance and maintenance of these.This time, the joint research will be conducted by Professor Tomoharu Nagao, Graduate School of Environmental Information, Yokohama National University. Professor Nagao, who is known as one of Japan's leading researchers in the field of AI, is a world-class expert who has focused on evolutionary computation for the first time in Japan and has made various developments.We have a track record of joint research with more than 120 companies, such as time-series fluctuation prediction with banks and financial institutions, research for intelligent automobiles, etc.

 In the joint research, we aim to analyze data on economics and maritime affairs using artificial intelligence (AI) and predict shipping market conditions and fuel oil prices with high accuracy.In addition, we plan to carry out new research one by one and proceed with the development of management support tools.
