Characteristics of the Faculty of International Liberal Arts and the development of global human resources in other faculties

At the Faculty of International Liberal Arts, you can freely choose one of the five languages (German, French, Russian, Spanish, and Chinese) as the second foreign language (another language), and learn another foreign language in addition to English. You can aim for a trilingual. The second foreign language class is 15 times a week in the XNUMXst year and XNUMX times a week in the XNUMXnd year, and all pronunciation classes are small classes with XNUMX students or less. There are also study abroad agreements with universities in countries other than English-speaking countries, and many students study abroad for half a year (XNUMX semester) at universities in selected languages from the second half of the second year.In addition, we have prepared four subject groups: language culture, history culture, thought culture, and international society, so that you can acquire a deep culture aiming at world understanding in addition to language ability. This is the reason for international education.

At Chukyo University, we are focusing on developing global human resources centered on study abroad programs, even outside of international faculties such as the Faculty of International Liberal Arts or the Faculty of International English. The study abroad programs for each faculty are shown in the table. At Chukyo University, no matter what faculty you choose, you will be able to acquire a wide range of education, foreign language skills that can play an active role in the world, and the ability to understand different cultures.
