What is the significance and pleasure of learning law? -A message to young people who aspire to law-

After all, what is jurisprudence? This challenge is mentioned in this book, but in my opinion, it is "to present the'rules that should be'for our society."Of course, it is not easy to find the "rules that should be" that suit society. In a modern society where various people live with diverse values in their respective environments, there is no absolute answer to what is the "rule that should be", and 100% justification is demonstrated. It's very difficult to do.Furthermore, the necessity and interpretation of the "rules that should be" will change with the passage of time.Jurisprudence exists in this uncertainty.

In other words, it is jurisprudence to approach the essence of things with logical thinking in order to substantiate the uncertainties. However, it does not mean "logical = mechanical and efficient".In law, the basic stance is to respect not only the right of majority (majority vote) but also the right of minority (minority opinion).Although it is logical, it is possible to appeal to society with passion as a person because there is a human part that is "human-like" in a sense.Despite the uncertainty, the real thrill of law lies in exploring how to approach others and society as a whole.

Therefore, those who are involved in the law sharply catch what is happening, what is the problem, and who is complaining in the society where various people live. We must understand the pain and derive a fair answer that suits society. This requires specialized knowledge, but the most important thing is to hone your own sensibilities.
If there is a high school student who has read this book (or has already) aspired to the path of law and has become interested in law, first of all, be aware of "expanding your sensibilities" in your daily life. please try.For example, look broadly at society through newspapers and news, and talk with family and friends about where and what is happening and what you think about it.It's also a good idea to listen to music and art to soothe your mind.By catching things around us with a high degree of sensitivity, we should be able to discover new values, broaden our perspectives and ways of thinking, and grow a little bigger as a human being. And while actually studying law at university, I hope that while touching on its depth and dynamism, I will aim to become a law specialist who is attractive as a person, and make a big contribution to society.
