What is information in the first place?

Based on such research, if the concept of "information" can only be dealt with within the framework of information technology such as computers, the new high school subject "information" cannot play its full role. Isn't it?
To be clear, I'm not saying that education on the scientific understanding of information technology is unnecessary.Rather, I think that such education is very important.
I graduated from the Department of Informatics in the Faculty of Engineering about 20 years ago and obtained a degree in Informatics from the Graduate School.I intend to fully understand the social significance of such information science education. However, that is why I want to strongly "wait" for the trend of the world that thinks "information = computer" in a straightforward manner.Information technology is not the only thing that should be taught in the subject "Information".
Toru Nishigaki mentioned in his book "New Basic Informatics" as follows. "We must rapidly break away from the narrow formula of" information "equal" computer "and reconsider the concept of information deeply in the human psychological / social relationship of" information / communication / media ". It won't be. "
As it is important, I repeat that it is not just information education that deals with programming and computers.Of course, it is also necessary to learn Python and JavaScript. However, as we live in the future information society where artificial intelligence, IoT, and big data are rapidly spreading and developing, above all, we are talking about "what is information" with "basic informatics" in the background. First of all, it is necessary to learn properly.
