The “CAF Award” is intended for works by students of high schools, universities, graduate schools, and vocational schools all over Japan, as well as students who have Japanese nationality and are enrolled in overseas educational institutions. It is one of the largest art awards in Japan aimed at promoting contemporary art.One winner will receive a cash prize of 1 million yen, and an additional prize will be an opportunity to hold a solo exhibition.In addition, one winner will receive a cash prize of 100 yen, and four judges will receive 1 yen each.
Eriko Kimura (curator), Masami Shiraishi (SCAI THE BATHHOUSE), Chiaki Noji (Tokyo Art Beat Editor-in-Chief), and Tomohiro Masuda (Chief Curator, The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo) will serve as judges from this year. The exhibition of selected works will be held at Daikanyama Hillside Forum in mid-December.
