The Shikoku University "Jakucho Setouchi Youth Essay Contest" was established to convey the literary achievements of Jakucho Setouchi to future generations.
Another objective of the Setouchi Jakucho Youth Essay Contest is to encourage the literary talent of the younger generation to flourish.High school students in the midst of youth are free to write their own experiences, opinions, thoughts, etc.We hope to discover new talents who will play a leading role in literary culture among high school students, and to support the further advancement of the winners in the future.
Recipients of each award of the "Setouchi Jakucho Youth Essay Contest" (Grand Prize, Excellence Prize, Encouragement Prize, total of about 10 people) are required to apply for the Shikoku University field-specific entrance examination (art, media, dance), and this entrance examination is required. Winners who pass the exam will receive a special scholarship of 40 yen each year for four years.
