Fukuoka University has been holding the "National High School Senryu Contest" every year since 2005.
The purpose of this competition is to encourage the younger generation, who are becoming more aliterate, to become familiar with the short poetry literature unique to Japan and to promote their culture.
Please express your feelings, thoughts, messages to society, etc. through senryu, which consists of five, seven, and five seventeen sounds and can be freely created without seasonal words.
