"Science Koshien" is an initiative to compete in multiple fields in science, mathematics, and information for student teams in high schools (including upper secondary schools and colleges of technology).
The Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) established the Science Koshien in 23 to create a place where high school students who like science from all over the country can gather, compete, and play an active role, and expand the base of science lovers. We aim to extend the top layer.
In the tournament, schools that have won the prefectural tournament will participate in the national tournament held in March every year as a team of 6 to 8 people. The national competition consists of a "written competition" that asks for knowledge of science, information, and mathematics, and a "practical competition" that competes for the ability to solve problems through competitions such as experiments, practical training, and consideration related to the subject.
Regarding application for participation in the competition, please contact each board of education via the school as it depends on the implementation status of each prefecture selection competition.
