According to Tohoku University, President Satomi and President Sadovenity signed a memorandum of understanding in the presence of Hirokazu Matsuno, Minister of Science and Technology, and then attended a document exchange ceremony at the Prime Minister's Office to exchange agreed documents.
The Japan-Russia University Association is an organization for the purpose of exchange between Japanese and Russian universities and students, and Tohoku University serves as the representative secretary on the Japanese side.Since President Putin's visit to Japan was decided, he was consulted by Moscow State University, who is the representative of the Russian side.
Universities in Japan and Russia have held regular meetings of the Presidents of Japan and Russia to promote academic exchanges.We would like to extend this exchange to researchers and students, which will lead to the drastic expansion of the human exchange that Prime Minister Abe showed to President Putin.We are also considering building a joint education program and making it a place for discovering new joint research.In response to the call from Tohoku University, 21 universities in Japan have indicated their intention to participate, and the Russian side is also expected to participate in universities of the same scale as Japan.
