 In order for teachers to teach students well, it is considered important to understand how well students understand what they are learning.However, it was unclear which part of the brain was responsible for that function.In addition, research on brain activity during learning is often conducted only by students, and it was not known how the brain activity of both teachers would change due to the interaction between the teacher and the students.

 Therefore, in the research, we used two optical topography devices * that can safely evaluate brain activity with faint light, and conducted educational learning tasks using commercially available portable game machines and game software, and performed brain activities for teachers and students. Measured by two people at the same time.We investigated changes in brain activity in both areas, focusing on the frontal region, which is thought to be related to human sociality.

 The results of the study revealed that the brain activity of the left frontal region showed similar changes between teachers and students as education and learning progressed.This is considered to be a result of reflecting the mutual change in cognitive processing between "teacher-student" during the education and learning task.
In addition, the teacher's left frontal brain activity was strongly associated with the difference between the self-evaluation of the teacher's own teaching method and the student's understanding of the task.In other words, it is considered that the teacher uses the left frontal region to compare his teaching method with the student's understanding status and grasps the educational learning status.

 In the future, this research will greatly contribute to the elucidation of the interaction mechanism between teachers and students during educational learning and the development of educational neuroscience research.It is also expected to lead to the development of equipment that promotes education and learning by utilizing the brain activity of teachers.
