A research group led by Professor Hiroshi Ishida of the Institute of Social Science, the University of Tokyo has been conducting a "national survey on changes in working styles and lifestyles" every year since 2007 in order to explore changes in employment, marriage, and consciousness of young and middle-aged people. It is being carried out. This time, we announced the results of the 2016 survey.

This survey is a "panel survey" in which the survey subjects are fixed for a long period of time and continuously surveyed. By repeatedly asking the same people repeatedly, changes can be properly grasped, and other surveys clearly show. It is possible to obtain highly reliable survey results that cannot be done.

The four themes dealt with this time are "experience of leaving home", "long working hours and family formation", "subscribing to child insurance", and "crisis that people think".According to the survey, more than 4% of people aged 29 to 49 have experience of living independently from their parents, and those from a socio-economically blessed family have a time to leave the house. There was a tendency to be slow.

Regarding "subscribing to child insurance," 57.9% of those with children have enrolled in child insurance. The highest participation rate was household income of 650 million yen to less than 850 million yen, 61.8%.Wealthy households tended to have a higher enrollment rate, and households with only female children tended to have a slightly lower enrollment rate. Regarding the "crisis" that people think, regardless of age or gender, there is a high tendency to think of natural disasters and natural disasters such as earthquakes as "crises", and those who regard international relations and long-term care / old age problems as "crises" There was a tendency for it to increase with age.
