 Due to the destabilization of social conditions in recent years, many unforeseen circumstances that cannot be dealt with by conventional risk management concepts and methodologies have occurred, and new concepts that go beyond risk management are being sought after.Against this background, resilience is attracting attention as a new concept that turns into risk as "the ability to flexibly respond to unforeseen circumstances and changes in circumstances, maintain and provide the required functions, and recover."

 The "Resilience Research and Education Promotion Consortium" has decided to be established jointly by universities / research institutes and companies in order to respond to this unforeseen situation.Support core activities of world knowledge and education in the field of risk resilience.
Participating organizations include University of Tsukuba, Secom, Dainippon Printing, Nippon Electric, DRI Japan, Electric Power Central Research Institute, Japan Automobile Research Institute, National Institute of Maritime, Port and Aviation Technology, Electronic Navigation Research Institute, Industrial Technology Research Institute, Disaster Prevention Science and Technology Research Institute, Workers' Health and Safety Organization Occupational Safety and Health Research Institute.
