Ochanomizu University and Fujitsu have established a collaborative base within Ochanomizu University to search for solutions using AI (artificial intelligence) to solve gender issues.In the future, we will promote joint research on AI utilization and promote the development of human resources who will carry it out.
According to Fujitsu, the name of the collaborative base is "Fujitsu/Ochanomizu University AI Ethics and Society Collaborative Course."It was established within the Institute of Gendered Innovation, Ochanomizu University in Otsuka, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.The opening period is scheduled for about three years until the end of March 2026.
In joint research, we will develop a highly reliable human resource evaluation AI with the goal of the end of 2023.Fujitsu's AI ethics technology is applied to human resource evaluation AI, and the fairness of evaluation results is verified by Ochanomizu University's analysis methods of sociology, psychology, and management, while improving AI.
In addition, the collaboration base will hold seminars and workshops on AI technology and various social issues to develop human resources and leaders who will work to solve social issues.
Gender equality is listed as one of the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) set by the United Nations, but Japan's gender gap index is ranked 1th out of 146 countries in the world, and early improvement of inequality is required. .
Even in the use of AI, there is an ethical risk that AI's judgments about minority groups will be biased due to the bias latent in the learning data.The aim of this joint course is to solve these two problems at once.
