 According to the University of Tokyo, WeChange is a program that was launched in response to being adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's 2022 science and technology human resource development subsidy project "Diversity Research Environment Realization Initiative (Female Leader Development Type)". Until 2027.

 In addition to reforming the awareness of faculty, staff, and students, the establishment of seamless career advancement for female researchers from graduate students to seniors, and accelerating increase in the number of female faculty members are the pillars.As for increasing the number of female faculty members, we aim to double the rate of increase in female faculty members so that approximately 2027 of the approximately 1,200 professors and associate professors appointed by 300 will be women.

 The new logo depicts red, yellow, blue, green, and purple lines gathering in one place, depicting a bright and active figure.Added "#WeChange UTokyo" at the bottom.Print it on business cards of faculty and staff, and publicize it outside the university.

 At the start of the project, the website includes greetings from President Teruo Fujii and Executive Vice President Kaori Hayashi (in charge of international affairs and diversity), future action plans, and support measures being implemented for faculty, staff, and students.As the project progresses, we will announce the progress and event information as needed.
