To mark the 2024th anniversary of its founding in 150, Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology has launched the ``University of Agriculture and Technology Connection Project,'' which connects all supporters, including alumni, current students, and faculty members.Those who donate to the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Fund will receive products and processed goods made by ``Shining University of Agriculture and Technology alumni (graduates)'' as return gifts.
According to Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, the Tsunagu project will feature 9 types of products produced by nine graduates, including sake, beer, mangoes, and mugs, as well as three types of original products, including fun sets produced at the university's farm. I prepared it as a return gift.
The student PR staff, made up of 17 current students, travels around the country to report on these return gifts, and introduces the passion of the graduates and the characteristics of the products that will be used as return gifts on the university's website.We are still looking for alumni who would like to donate gifts in return.
Applications for donations to the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology Fund will begin on September 2023, 9 (Friday), and the donation will be made to current students in order to strengthen the development of science and engineering personnel who will play an active role in the international community and to improve the education and research environment. It will be used for various types of support.
The Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology was founded in 1874 as an agricultural training school and a sericulture examination department that were established at the Naito-Shinjuku branch office of the then Ministry of Home Affairs Kangyo Dormitory.Afterwards, the Agricultural Training School became the Tokyo Agriculture and Forestry College, and the Sericulture Examination Section became the Tokyo Textile College, and in 1949, the two schools were merged to form the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology.Currently, the university has campuses in Fuchu and Koganei in Tokyo, with a Faculty of Agriculture and a Faculty of Engineering.
