Toyo Gakuen University will hold the 2024 Toyo Gakuen "Public Lecture (Liberal Arts)" in a hybrid format of face-to-face lectures at Hongo Campus (Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo) and Zoom webinars. We are planning six lectures on a wide variety of themes, providing learning that will enrich your life by expanding your knowledge and network as a member of society.
Toyo Gakuen University's public lectures allow you to learn a variety of liberal arts from top instructors and cultural figures. In 2024, the event will be held for a total of six times at Phoenix Hall on Hongo Campus in order to provide lifelong learning opportunities to as many people as possible. Each event will also be streamed live online.
The first program on May 5th will be a lecture by Yoshihisa Nagato, director of the Toyo Gakuen History Archives at Toyo Gakuen University, titled ``Toyo Gakuen Celebrating its 11th Anniversary - A Look at the Women's Dentists under the Old System''. Toyo Gakuen University was founded on November 1926, 11 as one of the few girls' science schools, and a more specialized dental school, and after the war it became a women's junior college for English and literature. As we approach the 4th anniversary of our founding, we will be publishing the latest findings about Toyo Gakuen.
The planned programs are as follows. Applications for participation are accepted on the university website until the day before each session, and anyone can attend for free.
