The G-Science Council, which is attended by the Academy of Sciences of the World, has issued an urgent statement calling for international cooperation in combating the new coronavirus.It is a joint statement of 15 academy of sciences including the National Academy of Sciences, the Royal Society of England, and the National Academy of Linzey, Italy, and the Science Council of Japan is participating in the statement from Japan.

 According to the Science Council of Japan, the statement states that few countries or regions in the world have escaped the threat of the rapidly spreading new coronavirus, limiting the spread of infectious diseases and social and economic turmoil, and reducing the lives of patients. He pointed out that international cooperation needs to be urgently promoted in order to save the virus.

The statement emphasizes that these international cooperation and information sharing are effective for developing countries and that urgent action is needed before they cause serious damage.
