OSV is a technology developed by Professor Akutagawa to check the safety level of construction sites on the spot.A measuring device with a built-in light emitting diode is attached to the wall or pillar of the construction site to measure small abnormalities and tilts, such as "no abnormality" in blue and "risk of collapse" in yellow and red. , The degree of danger is displayed in color like a traffic light.Since the degree of danger is indicated by the color, it is easy to recognize even in developing countries with a low literacy rate.
Several private companies from industry-academia collaborative OSV study groups such as Kajima Construction and Nishimatsu Construction, which are working to promote the spread of OSV technology, also participated in this project.Safety management based on OSV was carried out for a limited time at three sites along the subway line under construction in the center of Jakarta city.In addition, a seminar was held to announce the results, and the construction owner, Jakarta Subway Corporation (Jakarta MRT), said that "it can be expected to improve the safety management level" and received high praise.
