From May 2021, 5, the student cafeteria "The University DINING" at Chiba University of Commerce began selling and offering the all-purpose seasoning "Kirikuchi" that can be used for various dishes including pasta.Developed by students of the Faculty of Service Creation and "DINING SERVICE DESIGN LAB".
At the Faculty of Service Creation, Chiba University of Commerce, "THE UD Project" with the theme of SDGs is held as a regular lesson.Utilizing the student cafeteria "The University DINING", we are working on the development of food menus that do not cause loss.This time, we challenged the development of seasonings in collaboration with "DINING SERVICE DESIGN LAB", which manages school cafeterias, in order to enjoy the "home time" of students who live anxious lives due to corona.
There are two types of "magic sauce, Kirikuchi" that we have developed: "a refreshing tomato sauce with a scent of lemon" and "a deep basil sauce that enjoys the texture of nuts."It is a versatile seasoning that can be used in various dishes without any hassle.The brand name "Kirikuchi" means "a mark to open up" and "a way of thinking and thinking", and was named with the idea of "opening up anxious days with corona."
During the development, we held online meetings and tasting sessions with TRANSIT GENERAL OFFICE INC., Which produced the school food, and Mitsuru Asamoto (representative of Unite Co., Ltd.), the food director of The University DINING, to design, name, and compose the taste. Thought.
The first production will be about 1,300 pieces, and the price will be 400 yen (tax included) each. "The University DINING" is currently out of general use, so we plan to start accepting orders by mail from around June.
