NTT DoCoMo, Inc. (hereinafter, DoCoMo) and National University Corporation Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization (hereinafter, ToMMo) are conducting joint research with the aim of establishing methods for prevention and early detection of diseases peculiar to pregnant women and identifying the causes of their onset. However, as of November 2016, 11, the recruitment of pregnant women to participate in the research was completed.Participants will also combine the big data analysis technology and AI (artificial intelligence) technology such as machine learning that DoCoMo has cultivated through the analysis of various time-series data, and ToMMo's genome information analysis technology and life information science and technology. Integrated analysis of biometric data such as life log data and genomic information obtained from the above was started.

Since many diseases peculiar to pregnant women develop due to the complex interaction of genetic factors and environmental factors, daily changes in environmental factors are continuously grasped in order to investigate the cause of the disease. Things are important. However, since the acquisition of environmental information using survey forms, etc., which has been conducted so far, is based on a self-answer method about once every six months, there is a limit to the frequency and accuracy of acquisition.

In this joint research, a comprehensive integrated analysis that combines the three elements of genome, substances in the body (proteins, metabolites, etc.) and daily life log data (blood pressure, pulse, weight, body temperature, activity, sleep, diet, etc.) We are aiming to elucidate the complex interaction between genetic factors and environmental factors by capturing life log data with high frequency and objective accuracy and changes in state in the body.
In addition, by promoting multi-layered omics analysis that considers time series for the collected life log data and biometric data, we will jointly develop preventive and early detection methods for diseases peculiar to pregnant women such as gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, and premature birth. I have a goal.

Since more than 300 pregnant women participated in the research at ToMMo, which exceeded the target, we continued the survey while regularly informing the health status of the participants in the cohort survey for a long period of time, and cooperated with the further survey. In making the request, we would like to utilize the know-how and data cultivated in this joint research.
