Shinsuke Suematsu, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology announced a message regarding future high school education in response to the annual implementation of the new course of study from 2022.He is calling on the high school side to reform lessons to realize proactive, interactive and deep learning in order to foster the ability of children to open up the future.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Suematsu will develop the new course of study in a well-balanced manner with knowledge and skills, thinking ability, judgment ability, expressive ability, ability toward learning and humanity as pillars in all subjects. We asked the high school side to share the purpose of the new course of study with faculty members and school officials and proceed with the lessons.
Reported that it is indispensable to improve and utilize the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) environment in order to achieve results in line with the new course of study, and it is expected that one terminal can be installed for each high school student. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology expressed its intention to further support the utilization of ICT.
Furthermore, regarding high school reform, each school is urged to promote unique and attractive learning based on the school policy, and is also urged to focus on exploratory learning and cross-curricular learning.
