Shizuoka University, Fun Chiribiji Co., Ltd., NTT DATA CCS Co., Ltd., and Pitney Bowes Japan Co., Ltd. have jointly developed a geographic information system "Understanding with videos! Hazard map of my home" that allows evacuation information to be read aloud.
The "Understanding with Video! Hazard Map of My Home" developed by Shizuoka University in collaboration with three companies is a geographic information system that allows you to read out evacuation information that differs depending on the location with a video dedicated to each house. The purpose is to help people who have difficulty reading disaster prevention maps called hazard maps and those who are indifferent to understand disaster risks through personalized videos and to respond to correct disasters.
Recently, there is news that even though there is a hazard map produced by the local government, the risk of disaster is not fully recognized by the residents, and the storm and flood damage kills human lives and property. With the system developed this time, if you enter the address of the area where you want to know your place of residence or disaster risk, academic experts with abundant disaster prevention expertise will pinpoint the disaster risk and countermeasures of the place you want to know through videos. Talking to them, the system allows users to recognize disaster risk as "myself."
This "Understanding with Video! Hazard Map of My Home" will be exhibited at the G Space EXPO "Geo Activity Contest" to be held at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Odaiba, Tokyo from October 2017 to 10, 12.After collecting social needs and issues for this system, it plans to develop activities toward full-scale business development.
