According to a survey by the Japan Institute for Labor Policy and Training, university students and graduate students who are planning to find employment in the spring of 2018 are hoping for a major company that has wide-area offices as employment destinations.Of these, female students tended to aspire to companies with limited work locations, and the majority of the respondents cited "national scale companies with limited work locations" as a whole.

 In July 2017, the survey was conducted as a monitor for the job hunting support site "Mynavi", targeting 7 university and graduate students nationwide who are job hunting or have already completed job hunting.The breakdown is 5,601% for 4th year undergraduate students and 72.6% for graduate school doctoral programs.

 According to the report, the most desired job hunting destination at the start of job hunting was "national-scale companies with limited work locations" at 40.0%. “Nationwide companies with nationwide transfers” accounted for 29.5%, and “Companies that are also expanding overseas” accounted for 27.3%.
However, female students tend to prefer companies whose work locations are more limited than male students, with 47.0% of their hopes for "national-scale companies with limited work locations".

 Regarding area-limited regular employees, 72.6% answered that they would like to apply, and 85.3% of female students in the humanities in particular indicated their intention to apply.The most desired place of work was the current place of residence at 72.6%, followed by 42.0% of the place of residence at the time of graduating from high school.

 58.0% of full-time employees with limited duties answered that they would like to apply.Among them, female students in the sciences had the most hopes, and 67.5% were positively considering employment.
