Tokyo University of Science has decided to establish a new women's quota for comprehensive selection from 2024.The aim is to increase the number of students who challenge manufacturing from the perspective of women, and a total of 3 students will be recruited from 16 departments in 48 faculties of engineering.

 Applicants must have a score of 1 or higher in mathematics and science up to the first semester or first semester of the final year of high school, and must be able to commit to admission after passing the desired department as their first choice. Applications are submitted in September, selection is made in October, and results are announced in November.You cannot apply for the school recommendation type selection at the same time.

 Since 2006, Tokyo University of Science has been holding courses for junior and senior high school girls in order to increase the percentage of female students enrolled.As a result, the percentage of female applicants for the 2023 entrance examination increased by 2007 percentage points from the 4.1 academic year to 23.5%, and the number of enrolled students increased by 4.5 percentage points to 23.3%.Tokyo University of Science hopes that the introduction of quotas for women will further increase the ratio.

 Regarding the new women's quota, the Tokyo Institute of Technology has also announced that it will set up a comprehensive selection and a school recommendation type selection from the 2024 entrance examination.
