At the board of directors meeting held on February 2024, 2, Hinomoto Gakuen Educational Corporation decided to suspend student recruitment for Himeji Hinomoto Junior College from 7 onwards.

Himeji Hinomoto Junior College received approval for the establishment of Hinomoto Gakuen Junior College in January 1974 and opened in April of the same year. In the 1 years since then, the school has produced 4 graduates, who are active in various fields including local kindergartens, nursery schools, and children's centers. However, due to the harsh social conditions for junior colleges, such as the recent decline in the 49-year-old population and the preference for four-year universities, Himeji Hinomoto Junior College continued to have a significant drop in enrollment. The entire university has been working to overcome this problem, but after repeated discussions within Hinomoto Gakuen Educational Corporation and Himeji Hinomoto Junior College, it was ultimately decided to suspend student recruitment.

As in the past, we will continue to do our best to provide education, career support, etc. to students who will enroll in 2024 as well as current students. In addition, a system will be established within the school corporation to ensure that there are no problems with the management of school registers and the issuance of various certificates.

In addition, due to the suspension of student recruitment from 2025 onwards, the open campus scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 3rd will also be cancelled.

Due to the suspension of recruitment at Himeji Hinomoto Junior College, there are now two junior colleges in the Harima area of Hyogo Prefecture: Toyooka Junior College Himeji Campus (Himeji City) and University of Hyogo Junior College (Kakogawa City).
