From 2020, the Faculty of Economics of Chuo University will introduce a high school connection entrance examination that evaluates qualifications and achievements and appeals activity experience.Along with this, the self-recommended entrance examination currently being conducted will be abolished in 2019.
According to Chuo University, the recruitment departments for high school connection entrance exams are Economics, Economic Information Systems, International Economics, and Public / Environmental Economics.The target students are those who have a clear study plan and future plans after enrollment, and who can make a self-appeal if they can utilize their activity experience in their career paths after graduation.
There are qualification / performance evaluation type and self-recommended type for high school connection entrance examination.Of these, the qualification / performance evaluation type is
・ Successful applicants of the Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry sponsored bookkeeping test level 2 or higher or the national commercial high school sponsored bookkeeping practice test level 1
・ Successful applicants of the Basic Information Technology Engineer Examination and the Applied Information Technology Engineer Examination conducted by the Information-technology Promotion Agency
・ Those who have received awards of prizes or higher in the High School Students Global Environmental Paper Award sponsored by Chuo University or the prize papers on the themes of environmental issues, social welfare, and social security issues that are recruited in a wide area above the prefectural level.
・ Persons who have acquired or are expected to acquire the International Baccalaureate qualification between January 2017, 1 and March 1, 2020.
・ Those who have taken "Introduction to Economics" from 2018 to 2019 at Chuo University and have achieved a grade of B or higher.
-Targets.Select by written examination (short essay, foreign language) and interview.
The self-recommendation type is intended for those who are engaged in activities linked to society, the community, NPO corporations, etc. on themes that they are interested in and have an awareness of problems. The successful applicants will be decided in the second examination.
