Reitaku University has started a "Job Hunting Online Interview" at the Career Center as a countermeasure against the new coronavirus. This is my first time to have an online interview.

At Reitaku University, considering the effects of the new coronavirus, we put the safety of students first and refrain from activities within the university such as extracurricular activities as much as possible.Normally, during this period, students visit the Career Center for job hunting and have individual interviews, but the situation is difficult.Job hunting events and company information sessions have been canceled one after another due to the influence of the coronavirus, and many students are worried because they cannot do job hunting as expected.

Therefore, at the Career Center, we started online career counseling and mock interviews using Hangouts and Skype.Students are now able to receive the same support as they normally do, while staying at home, without increasing the risk of infection. At the same time, it has become possible for students studying abroad to receive almost the same support as students in Japan, and it has become possible to strengthen support for students who are active globally.

Also, in future job hunting, the number of companies conducting online interviews during the selection process is increasing, so it is important to become accustomed to online interviews so that you can fully demonstrate your true abilities. In the future, the Career Center plans to flexibly support each student under any circumstances.
