The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology has been conducting an annual survey of academic information infrastructure since 2005 in order to clarify the current state of university libraries and computer network environments of national, public and private universities, and to use them as basic materials for their improvement and enhancement.This time, we announced the results of the survey in 2019.

 The subjects of the survey are a total of 792 national, public and private universities (national 86 / public 93 / private 613).According to the survey, the cost of materials for university libraries in 2018 is 708 billion yen.
