On July 2020, 7, the Institute of Humanities, Chuo University signed an inter-institutional agreement with the Interdisciplinary Research Center for Language Sciences, Cambridge University (Cambridge Language Science Center).This is the first research institute in Japan.

 Under this inter-institutional agreement, we aim to carry out further research exchanges and joint research across countries and fields through the construction of networks for the purpose of research collaboration and information sharing between fields.Mainly, "Exchange of faculty members of Cambridge Language Science Center and researchers of Chuo University Humanities Research Institute" "Exchange of graduate students of Cambridge Language Science Center and associate researchers of Chuo University Humanities Research Institute" "Joint research project" "Joint conference project" " Four collaborative programs are planned for the Joint Cultural Program.

 The Institute of Humanities, Chuo University was established in 1978 with the aim of conducting joint research on various issues related to the humanities and contributing to the progress and development of science.The joint research team and the study group team are conducting joint research activities on their respective themes, with the feature of thinking ideologically and essentially from a broader perspective that goes beyond the field of specialization.Each team consists of full-time faculty members of Chuo University, researchers belonging to other universities and institutions, and students enrolled in the doctoral program at the graduate school.

 The Cambridge Language Science Center was newly established in July 2011 as a strategic research initiative at the University of Cambridge. Since October 7, it has become an interdisciplinary research center at the University of Cambridge, and is training researchers through a visiting researcher system and a system with graduate students as researchers.There are about 2017 researchers in the field, and they have a wide range of research fields such as humanities, social sciences, biochemistry, medicine, computer science, and science and engineering.We are also collaborating with other world-leading research institutes to address large-scale interdisciplinary research issues related to linguistic research, and are building networks for research collaboration and information sharing between disciplines. ..
