Toyama City was the first Japanese city to be selected as one of the "2015 Resident Cities" by the Rockefeller Foundation in 100, focusing on improving the health of its citizens and revitalizing the city.Hokoken has been active for seven years, developing an easy-to-use and safe walking assist vehicle "Machinaka Cart" with the aim of realizing a community where elderly people can enjoy interacting with each other, and installing it in urban areas and city halls.

This time, Microsoft technology was added to these efforts, and Microsoft's tablet "Surface" was installed in the machinaka cart.We have developed a "Hokoken IoT system" that allows elderly people to move around the city and check information on the "Surface" in cooperation with the cloud.Utilizing this system, it was decided to aim to maintain the health of the elderly for one year from June 2016, 6.
