Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) has begun raising funds through crowdfunding to promote two projects: fostering young entrepreneurs and interacting with foreign students in the community. This is the first APU initiative, and the target amount is 2 million yen for training young entrepreneurs and 200 million yen for exchanges between foreign students and the community.

According to APU, Young Entrepreneurship Development is a practical program that started in July to support and send out to the world the students of the APU Entrepreneurship Department, aiming for future entrepreneurship, with 7 students from 11 countries participating. We are aiming to launch up to 46 companies in a year.

The deadline for raising funds is February 2019, 2.Activity reports, campus tours, invitations to debriefing sessions in Tokyo, and videophone calls from President Haruaki Deguchi are available as rewards.

For exchanges between foreign students and the community, promoting Japanese language education for foreign students at APU in collaboration with local people will lead to the improvement of disaster prevention and international responsiveness of the aging local community, and Beppu City, Oita Prefecture. We aim to transform it into the most multicultural city in Japan.

The application period is until February 2019, 2.Gifts include letters of thanks from foreign students, reports, campus information, and tours of Japanese classes.
Funding for both businesses is being raised on the crowdfunding site "Lady for".The university side is saying, "I want you to help me to realize the" people who learned at APU will change the world "that I set out in my vision for the future."
