Showa Women's University will hold the "Women Can Change the World" symposium online on Saturday, December 2021, 12.
This symposium began in 2014 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Jamaica and the year of exchange between Japan and the Caribbean, and this is the fifth time.With the support of the Nakajima Memorial Foundation for International Exchange, we will discuss the theme of "cultivating female leaders in the Asia-Pacific region" co-sponsored by the Japan Student Services Organization.
On the day of the session, there will be a keynote speech by President James Cook University President Sandra Harding, Sookmyung Women's College President Zhang Rinsho, Ochanomizu University President Yasuko Sasaki, and Mariko Bando of Showa Women's University in the morning. A panel discussion will be held with the president and president as facilitators.
In the afternoon session II, Showa Women's University graduates, Professor and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Royal Phnom Penh University, Roy Resmy, Associate Professor of the Department of Japanese Studies, Faculty of Oriental and Social Sciences, Vietnam National University, Shanghai Mr. Kenka Huang, Associate Professor, Department of Japanese Studies, University of Foreign Studies, will report on the educational experience in Japan and the current state of higher education for women in their home countries.
