 According to the final summary of the study meeting on the positioning of "digital textbooks" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology submitted on December 2016, 12, it is expected that the introduction of "digital textbooks" will gradually progress from 16.The general features of digital textbooks and teaching materials are "reading aloud by voice" and "visual explanation by video" on the premise that they are "high-quality learning content centered on textbooks, which are the main teaching materials." , "Enlargement and reduction of characters and illustrations", etc., to improve ease of understanding.In addition, by using digital textbooks, it is possible for students to acquire learning history data such as "when and which page was turned" and "which part of the textbook / teaching material was watched", which is accurate based on the data. There are also growing expectations for good feedback and continuous guidance across grades and school types.

 Currently, attempts are being made in some educational settings to provide an optimized learning method for individual learners based on learning history data, but they are actively involved in learning situations using digital textbooks. Efforts have not yet been made for teachers to provide detailed guidance using learning history data by acquiring and accumulating learning history and analyzing the learning history.

 Therefore, this time, under the supervision of Professor Tatsuya Horita, Graduate School of Information Science, Tohoku University, learning that can be obtained when operating digital textbooks at Arakawa Ward No. 2017 Gouda Elementary School and No. 10 Junior High School, which have already introduced digital teaching materials for learners.
