Shiori Kazeoka, a XNUMXth year student in the Department of Music and Arts at Kinjo Gakuin University, won the XNUMXst place in the vocal section of the "XNUMXth Betten Music Competition", and Minaho Nishimura, a XNUMXrd year student in the same department, won the XNUMXrd place.
The Betten Music Competition, which started in 2007, currently has three divisions: piano, stringed instruments, and vocal music, and is open to preschoolers and the general public.The two of them participated in the "Vocal Music Division University / Graduate Student Division", which was established for the first time in 2017, and won the award after the district preliminary round, the district final round, and the national convention in Tokyo.
The Department of Music and Arts, Faculty of Letters, Kinjo Gakuin University, where Mr. Kazeoka and his colleagues study, was newly established in 2013, and you can deeply learn not only specialized music but also European culture and history.Although we are focusing on training performers, we have produced a large number of people who have passed the teacher employment exam, and it is also characterized by a high employment rate at leading companies as a traditional university.
The department consists of three courses: piano, vocal music, and wind instrument course, but it is fully equipped with top-class educational facilities nationwide, including a music hall, a studio equipped with the latest equipment, and a lesson room. We are developing unique subjects such as "physical sensation lessons for home", "chorus teaching method", and "Yamaha grade acquisition course".In addition, the ensemble group "Lily Muse", which was formed mainly by students of the vocal music course, is also actively volunteering through performances in various places.
