Waseda University has one of its goals to make the campus itself a museum.To embody this, in addition to the existing Dr. Tsubouchi Memorial Theater Museum and Aizu Yaichi Memorial Museum, the Waseda University History Museum was newly opened on the XNUMXst floor of Waseda Campus Building XNUMX.

　At the History Museum, materials and information related to the history of Waseda University (past, present, and future) are presented in various ways so that new discoveries can be made according to the interests of visitors, rather than just a flat display of history.By utilizing digital media, you can get a feel for the thoughts that the founder, Shigenobu Okuma, from Saga Prefecture, put into his studies.

　The main composition of the museum is "Kuon's Ideal", which introduces Okuma's achievements and those who supported the early days, "Enterprising Spirit", which introduces Waseda from the perspective of education, research, and cultural sports, both domestically and internationally. 3 permanent exhibition areas of "Sobi Iraka" that introduces people from Japan who are active in Japan.In addition, there is a special exhibition room, a theater room where you can watch video programs, a research room where you can study the history of Waseda, a Waseda goods shop and a cafe.
