The Marketing and Media Research Seminar (Professor Keiko Yashio) of the Toyo Gakuen University Faculty of Contemporary Management has started an industry-academia collaboration project with Tokyo Dome Co., Ltd.We aim to implement measures from mid-November to late December 2023 with the goal of proposing events, campaigns, and promotions that will lead to the promotion of university students to visit Tokyo Dome City Attractions, which is operated by the company.
"Tokyo Dome City" in Koraku, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo is famous for its baseball and concert venues, "Tokyo Dome City Attractions", an amusement park with free admission, spas using hot springs, shopping and dining. It consists of various facilities such as the commercial facility "LaQua" that you can enjoy and the "Tokyo Dome Hotel".It is a 5-minute walk from Toyo Gakuen University and is familiar to students.
In this project, the seminar students will focus on "Tokyo Dome City Attractions" and propose events, campaigns, and promotions that will encourage university students to visit. At the orientation held on May 5th, a person in charge of the Tokyo Dome Amusement Department was invited to give an overview of the facility, the efforts of "Tokyo Dome City Attractions", and an explanation of past events.Seminar students asked questions such as, "Which attraction would you like university students to ride?", "What do you consider important when holding events and campaigns?" A positive question was raised.
At a later date, I went to "Tokyo Dome City" and conducted an on-site inspection. While experiencing the popular attractions by ourselves, we checked the facilities, customer base, atmosphere, etc.Seminar students are divided into teams and show enthusiasm for new projects, such as "I want to consider a plan that will lead to attracting customers even with a limited budget" and "I want to work on it while valuing aggressiveness and cooperation."In the future, we will make an interim presentation of the proposal in July, make a final presentation in October, and aim to implement measures during the illumination and Christmas campaign period from mid-November to late December.
