Jissen Women's University and Jissen Women's University Junior College have signed a partnership agreement with the Kyoto City Classic Day Promotion Committee, which promotes activities to spread and enlighten classical culture, to contribute to the study of classical culture.In the future, we will jointly hold educational events and cooperate in promoting classical research.

 According to Jissen Women's University, the agreement will work closely with each other to realize the spirit of the Act on Classics Day, utilizing mutual human and intellectual resources, utilizing, disseminating, teaching, researching, etc. It stipulates that exchanges will be promoted in the field.

 In addition to co-sponsoring events, we will build stronger cooperative relationships through mutual provision of digital contents and browsing of the Jissen Women's University Library.

 The Classics Day Promotion Committee was established in 2009 to take over the activities of the Genji Monogatari Millennium Committee.The callers include writer Soshitsu Setouchi, Sen Soshitsu Xuan, the former Iemoto of the Urasenke tea ceremony, and Kimiko Reizumi, managing director of the Shiguretei Bunko, and the chairman of the Kyoto Cultural Exchange Convention Bureau, Junichi Murata. Takatoshi Nishiwaki, Governor of Kyoto Prefecture, Daisaku Kadokawa, Mayor of Kyoto, etc. will serve as vice chairpersons.With a secretariat in Kyoto City, he has been making efforts to establish Classics Day and spread classical culture.

 Jissen Women's University was adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's private university research branding project for Genji Monogatari Research, and its founder, Utako Shimoda, is known as a researcher of Genji Monogatari representing the Meiji era.

 With the 10th anniversary of the Classics Day Promotion Committee and the 120th anniversary of the Jissen Women's University, we have entered into a partnership agreement.
