In September 2020, SMBC Consumer Finance Co., Ltd. conducted a "Awareness Survey on Teenage Money Sense" on the Internet for 9 students aged 15 to 19 years nationwide. As a result, it was found that the students' sense of money also changed due to the prolonged corona sickness.

As a result of a survey on student income, the average income was 10,389 yen for high school students and 32,373 yen for university students. Compared to the previous survey conducted in January 2020, the average monthly income decreased by 1 yen for high school students and 1,184 yen for university students. It can be seen that the income of students is decreasing due to the corona disaster.

The percentage of people who make money from flea market apps increased by 4.1 points compared to the previous survey. It is thought that the number of people who earn income by selling disused items has increased because the time spent at home, which has increased due to the corona disaster, has led to opportunities for tidying up and cleaning up.

I also asked about cashless payments. When asked if all respondents were making cashless payments, the percentage of those who answered "yes" was 37.9%, an increase of 8 points from the previous survey. In addition, when asked why they are using cashless payment, "because there are campaigns, point benefits, and point redemption" was the highest, followed by "because accounting is easy". It seems that teens are highly evaluated for the ease and speed of cashless payments, as well as advantageous campaigns and point redemptions.
