The opening ceremony of the Hokkaido High School Distance Lesson Distribution Center, which distributes distance lessons to small high schools in Hokkaido for university entrance exams, was held in Tonden, Kita-ku, Sapporo (inside Aritomo High School). From the new semester, we will start distributing classes that meet the needs of university entrance exams.

According to the Hokkaido High School Distance Class Distribution Center (nickname: T-base), the opening ceremony was held by Toshihiro Kodama, the superintendent of education in Hokkaido. After greeting, the officials unveiled the plate in front of the center.

27 schools in Hokkaido, including Yubari High School and Oshamambe High School, which receive distance learning. For the time being, "health and physical education," "home," and "information" that accompany practical skills will be excluded, and classes in subjects common to each high school department will be distributed.Receiving schools are divided into groups according to their proficiency level and take classes with a small number of people.

In Hokkaido, the population is concentrated in the ordinance-designated cities of Sapporo, the core cities of Asahikawa, and Hakodate, and the population is declining significantly in rural areas. For this reason, high schools have become small schools in rural areas, and the number of teachers is limited, so it is difficult to give classes that meet the needs of each student, such as taking university entrance exams. There is no end to the students going forward.

The Hokkaido Board of Education plans a distance lesson and opens a distribution center in an attempt to overcome this situation and enable students to fulfill their dreams at a local high school.
