Meiji University will open the "Meiji University Digital Archive" site in October 2023, with the aim of making the valuable materials of academic value held by the university widely available to the public, and contributing to the development of education and research and the enhancement of social contribution activities. Meiji University has collected and accumulated historical and cultural materials through its educational and research activities. At the Meiji University Digital Archive, a total of 2,481 items (approximately 68,000 images) of materials held by libraries, museums, and the University History Center can be viewed as digital images.The exhibition will feature tools for capture such as jitte, the Penal Code, illustrations from the Edo period, a collection of sayings by Masazui Tokita, and archaeological materials from the Paleolithic period to the Edo period.
In the future, we will further enhance this university-wide digital archive system and further strengthen the ``bridge of knowledge'' that connects Meiji University and society.
