Nagasaki University and Kyushu Institute of Technology have signed an agreement to cooperate in promoting industry-academia collaboration and visualizing learning outcomes.By combining the strengths of Nagasaki University with the strengths of Kyushu Institute of Technology and the achievements cultivated as an industrial university of Kyushu Institute of Technology, we will lead to the further development of both schools.
According to Kyushu Institute of Technology, the signing ceremony of the promotion agreement was held at the Kyushu Economic Federation in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, and while being watched by Chairman Yasushi Aso of the Kyushu Economic Federation, President Yuji Oie of Kyushu Institute of Technology and Kono of Nagasaki University President Shigeru signed the agreement.
Both schools have a strong sense of crisis about the situation in Kyushu, where the population continues to decline, and they will work together in education, research, and human resource development to improve the results of education and research, and to produce human resources who will lead the future society to revitalize the industry. And aim to revitalize the whole of Kyushu.
For the time being, development of methods for visualizing learning effects, industry-academia collaboration centered on the Nagasaki Open Innovation Center, promotion of joint research, development of international education and research activities utilizing overseas bases, promotion of joint research with overseas universities Both schools will work together.
As specific examples, it is said that it is considering joint creation of on-demand teaching materials that can be used anytime and anywhere via the Internet, and holding collaborative job fairs for engineering students.
